| Edenderry Historical Society is committed to helping people all across the world trace their ancestry who came from Edenderry and the surrounding areas. To date information has been assembled for
people on all five continents. As with all other parts of Ireland, the economic crisis of the 1840s and 50s resulted in high levels of emigration from Edenderry. However many people were emigrating from Edenderry
for generations before hand and continued to do so up until the earl years of the 20th century. Catholic, Church of Ireland and of course Quakers are all part of the numbers of people with Edenderry ancestry. The
